Beer-Cheese Bread

sometimes...things in life just don't turn out the way you want. take my attempt at making beer-cheese bread for example. after a get together with friends, i was yet again left with bottles of beer. this is barely an issue for most civilized folk but i, unfortunately, don't really drink. so 5 bottles of beer is not a win-fall and instead leaves me wondering how i'm going to clear these out of my fridge.

low and behold the results!

failed beer-cheese bread

i was pretty sad about how these turned out after hearing my partner rave about them when he made his own loaves. i also mistakenly thought they would turn out as actual bread and not bread in the way that banana bread is 'bread' but that's another issue.

where it all went wrong:
i have a few ideas about what led to my crushing failure.
- i tried to bake two loaves (in separate tins) at the same time. i knew this wouldn't work but i did it anyways.
- i didn't grease the pans. well...i greased it with grapeseed oil because i was too lazy to grab the butter from the fridge. Woeful laziness. Woe i say! this meant i was left with nearly half of one loaf permanently stuck to my baking dish and the other took brute scrapping  to get out. if nothing else my gym routine has prepared me for this moment.
- i tried to convert the ounces to grams and ml. usually this is fine. but i think i over shot the beer quantity and definitely the cheese quantity. the results were too soft centers and too salty slices.

i still have two beers left, and i intend to redeem myself but let this be a lesson to you.
don't be me. don't be lazy.

Guys, let's just not eat that k?
